Spiral duct machine uses smooth duct material

Table of Content [Hide]

During installation, actual resistance may differ from the designed resistance due to variations in materials, installation, and connection methods. Therefore, a safety factor should be considered when selecting fans and motors. Avoid ductwork interference with pipes or other building structures. When unavoidable, smooth transitions should be used, with an aspect ratio greater than 3.

If the air velocity within the duct is high, a smaller duct cross-section saves duct material and takes up less building space. However, higher air velocity increases system resistance, fan pressure, power consumption, and noise. Using a lower air velocity can produce the opposite effect. Therefore, an economical air velocity value must be considered.

Currently, spiral ducting is widely used in ventilation projects. It offers high-quality appearance. The molded duct has a smooth inner wall and a smooth outer wall. Because the spiral ribs formed by the interlocking outer wall are evenly distributed, they act as a stronger reinforcement than the more popular interlocking ducting.

Because it's machined, it reduces costs and operational errors, ensuring a tight air duct and air leakage far below current standards and regulations. Because spiral duct units are stronger than conventional ducts, the thickness of the coils used for the same specification can be reduced by one model. The duct cross-section is longer than conventional duct, significantly reducing the number of pipe sections required for the same length. Furthermore, the use of flangeless connections significantly reduces raw data.
