Proper installation and use of spiral fans can save energy and reduce installation costs. To save manpower and resources, spiral duct contractors should calculate the length of each size of spiral duct and, when calculating the duct length, deduct the length of other fittings, such as tees, dampers, and elbows. There are many ways to install spiral duct. When ordering, you need to first decide which connection method to use before making the actual purchase. Specific connection methods include flange and socket connections. When using flange connections, the spiral duct and accessory pipe sizes should be the same. For socket testing, the accessory size is smaller than the spiral duct size. Therefore, the exact length of each duct size and type of spiral duct can be calculated without cutting the length during installation. A basic requirement is sufficient temporary spiral duct joints. Duct fittings, components, and all welded joints in clean systems must be extremely tight. The inner surface of clean spiral duct should be smooth. Spliced joints and reinforcements are strictly prohibited within the duct.
The distance between pipe flanges, flange bolts, and rivet holes on spiral duct production lines must not exceed the specified millimeters. The unfixed screw holes welded by our company for spiral ducting are highly compatible. Stainless steel, aluminum, and composite steel pipes, as well as stainless steel and aluminum ducts, must be free of obvious surface defects, and composite steel pipes must be free of surface damage. Spiral ducting must be tight and uniform in width, free of defects such as half-bite holes and bulging cracks. Spiral ducting with staggered vertical seams offers a smoother appearance.
