Ventilation ducting and smoke exhaust ducting are both types of pipes, but their primary difference lies in their use. Smoke exhaust ducts are specifically used for smoke exhaust, while ventilation ducting primarily supplies air and exhausts smoke, typically serving one or more rooms or equipment. The differences between the two are also reflected in their respective characteristics. After installation, the ductwork surface should be smooth and free of impurities. Outdoor ductwork should be protected from snow and rain. When crossing settlement joints, the ductwork must be sleeved as designed, and the gap between the duct and sleeve must be sealed with filler.
